2014 is drawing to a close. We added more tools to our kits, both literally and in terms of experience-based knowledge.
This year reinforced the following three lessons:
Lesson #1: Cash up front.
Lesson #2: Failure happens.
Lesson #3: Keep going.
We enjoyed being able to make art for and with friends, both old and new.

We produced a lot of great work that will be made available to the public soon. And although her work remains largely unseen on the website, we are grateful for our youngest collaborator. She challenged us to find new working methods and continues to inspire new subjects, styles, and compositions.

No Mine! Studios has morphed in shape and mission. Due to time constraints, and well, life, Suzanne has assumed creative leadership of this project. Tim will continue to contribute work as he can. And Izzy, well, she’s practicing to take the art world by storm.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of No Mine! Studios’ journey so far. As 2015 approaches, we see even more chances to make cool art and an impact in our community. Cheers to what’s ahead.
Happy New Year!
No Mine! Studios

Congratulations! You have survived almost the entirety of 2014. Yay!
To celebrate, reward yourself and your friends with new stickers from No Mine! Studios.

Happy late Festivus!

We held out longer than almost everyone we knew, but to no avail. In less than a month, the movie Frozen has changed the way our home operates. Trips to the grocery store take a dangerous turn when the nearly-three-year-old spots “Snowball!” Even worse, us adults have created full-length rewrites of the songs for communication purposes. (The winner thus far is “Do You Have To Be a Grump-Ass?”)
We decided to sell out create a sequel to this blockbuster, and the screenplay is now in progress. It’s set in modern times, based on a true story, and the protagonist is a toddler with the amazing ability to turn things …
Wait for it …

We are seeking representation. If you know of any good agents or have an in with Disney, please forward our information.
We’ll remember you when we’re famous.

This is one of my favorite projects to date. I was recently asked to design the new logo for Northern Pacific, a local band for which Tacoma’s own Stephanie Anne Johnson is vocalist, and here it is. We’ll provide links to their music once it’s available online. You will not be disappointed.
Cheers!

Holiday weekends mean we can work twice as hard doing what we love. Over the next few days, we’ll be updating our galleries and bringing new art your way.
If you like what you see, let us know! We appreciate your feedback.

Good morning!
Izzy and Suzanne are in the process of redesigning the website. Some pages have been removed and links altered. Bear with us as we make the site easier to navigate, and keep an eye out for new work. We have a plethora of projects we’re excited to share!
Enjoy your Tuesday, and thank you as always for your support!

We’re happy to announce that The Variety Hour‘s new album, “Exploded View,” is being released on November 18 by Swoon Records. Oh hey, look, Tim Kapler’s work is on the cover!
Show The Variety Hour some love, and check out more of Tim’s work on our website.
Cheers!

Tim was going to post new work, but he didn’t. So here’s an old performance piece of his back when we lived in the Artist Lofts in downtown Tacoma.
I believe it’s some of his most inspired work.
