I needed to work on something a little grittier than usual today. Good night.

Izzy will be three in less than a week, and I think she knows it. She’s been running around the house, saying “Happy Birthday!” and practicing giving me gifts she wrapped herself. (She’s really good at wrapping dirty socks.)
So I started this week by trying to honor my daughter’s birthday request: a cake with a llama eating cake. Cake-ception? Unfortunately, any cake I make will end up being an absolute alpaca-lypse. But, it does make for a great illustration concept:

And it is now available for purchase in a variety of formats at Design By Hümans:

Check it out, and feel free to leave a birthday message/ llama for Izzy in the comments below or on our Facebook page!

Today just gets cooler and cooler.
First of all, I revamped the Armadillo illustration yesterday, so you can now get it at Hümans By Design in all forms and incarnations of armored cuteness:

Next, I’m excited because I’m trekking up to Seattle this evening to hang out with other artists at a design for social good event. (Sans kid; shhhh, don’t tell her.) Maybe I’ll see you there?
And finally, what has to be one of the strangest surprises I have yet to find in my email:

How freaking cool is that?
I hope you’re having a great day, too! And thank you for supporting No Mine! Studios.
Cheers!

Posting kind of late this evening (or morning for my friends already living in the future), but No Mine! Studios is now authorized to sell designs through Design By Hümans! Men’s and women’s shirts, phone cases, and prints are available in multiple styles and color combinations. As always, direct links to this and other vendors can be found on our main Shop page.

Check back often for new designs, and please share with friends!
Good night, sleep tight!/ Morning, sunshine!

Well, the day started off like this:

And the day ended with the knowledge that our partner site, Boom Boom Prints, is experiencing technical difficulties. Meaning if you try to purchase the following squee onesie,

or rockin’ iPhone case,

or even this awesome canvas,

you will most likely fail. Take heart, this too shall pass. They’ll be working through the weekend to resolve server issues, and you should be able to order these products again shortly.
In the meantime, I will continue to update the site with cool things you could theoretically purchase at some point in the future, if you were so inclined to support an independent artist who produces work in the face of horrendous(ly adorable) tyranny.

Send help.

Per a brilliant almost-3-year-old’s request, a penguin riding a zebra.

Available in the shop shortly. In the meantime, check out more of Suzanne’s work here.
Good night/ morning, depending on when you read this.

As excited as I am to share current work, I will not be able to prep all the incarnations of penguins in the queue before the end of the day. Keep an eye out: the penguin invasion will resume later this week.
